THE BARON, CASTLE HILL

The next time you're bothered to go to Castle Hill, North-West of Sydney, (emphasis on the bothered cause this place is far if you live far from it) you really should go to The Baron. It's only down the road from the restaurant section of Castle Hill shopping centre and is sorta hidden to the left and past the lights, you know what just use google maps....

The Baron is a coffee shop/small bar (just incase you totally dismissed the image above) Us WEG arrived here the other night just in time for their dinner time menu and were seated right at the back in a tiny corner near the concrete wall

The waitress was really friendly and very insightful in regards to the menu and explained everything to us in extreme detail which was quite nice cause the place was pretty busy but she made time for us so thanks waitress!

Our first order was the sour bread taste plate which featured olive oil, butter & salt with a chicken liver pate
tasty start

Cheese and meat plate followed- excellent for those who enjoy small portions and sharing. Great for some food with drinks and if you are not too hungry

Lamb skewers came shortly after with pita bread, tzaiki, spinach & beetroot relish
We also ordered the smashed potatoes as a side
Real good, real generous serving size too!
Their serving of the meals wooden boards was a great touch we thought....

Decor of the baron is pretty hip, and definitely recommended for a change of scenery from the usual commercial resturant hub around Castle Hill.

Sailor jerry cocktail was delish!
