WINTER LIGHT, PARRAMATTA

Are you totally bummed that winter 2012 in the west side has been more like summer in the sahara desert (may have slighty exaggerated that)? CAUSE WE AREN'T!! WEG live for summer and usually hibernate come freezing cold winter time but anyway.......there was no keeping us from Parramatta's WinterLight Festival!!!!!!!!

It's a visual feast and a delightfully odd change of the scenery of Church St Mall which usually features that one random drunk hobo that picks fights with the the chill hobos who sleep near the flower beds.

Ice skating rink is great cause if you dont particularly want to skate you can still be entertained by watching the skaters fall which is sometimes funny.....only sometimes.......

Locals of the west kickin back with the live entertainment

Most amazingly festive food stall run by Robert and his wife of October Fest Hut
Their Bavarian Bratwurst is seriously grilled to absolute perfection so if you don't like winter or lights, you must visit the west's WinterLight for the bratwurst, seriously.

WEST-SIDE CRIB

Our WEG friend's crib is the best in the west.
She is the creator of the fully sick crafty goodness you're about to witness so brace yo' self before you wreck yo' self son....................

Coy fish swimming in her swimming pool

Pimpin purple octopus and cherry broch - handmade by our one and only west end gurl

Handmade flowers & strawberries & etc.

Some more yum knitted strawberries and berries

 Some shrooms

Flowers

Creepy dolls cold chillin'

Knitted roses, tea cosy,  chilli peppers, strawberries, octopus and cherries

Nicest ever cherry brooch gift!

And that's a wrap.
This crib is pretty hip,
and is in the west,
therefore the west is hip.

If you'd like us to hook you up with one of these beauties leave a comment below with you're email address and we'll a brother out

SUSHI ASADAL SUSHI, PARRAMATTA

 So apparently
'In Korean mythology and history, Asadal was the capital city of Gojoseon'.
But that doesn't even matter cause the sushi at Asadal is YUM YUM YUM,

3 YUMS = BLOODY EXCELLENT

CAUSE WHEN YOU DINE IN THE WEST, YOU DIGEST YA FOOD BETTER

Service was slightly less yum 'cause the sushi man kept pressuring us to buy some more of his yum sushi during our first visit but the next time we went (cause, you know, we just had to go back for some more) we brought 20 more people with us so he was far more contempt with our order so the sushi man was pimpin after that....................

NOTICE: SUSHI FROM $2.50
(this bargain of a price was probably the reason the sushi man was mad pressuring us to buy more food but i mean like theres only so much of a sushi baby your stomach can handle so sorry sushi man)
asadal is BYOB, WEG recommends Moscato best with Asadal sushi...........

Platter of Samuel Rolls only $22
definitely worth it seeing as this is the most delish grilled seafood on suhshi on beautiful minimal asian plate you will probably ever try

tiger rollz

Baby spider roll plate definitely recommended babby baby

beauty geisha illustrations

Loco epic meal time reminiscent cake we made for one of our fav WEG and took with us to our fav Asadal!

(STAY TUNED FOR A DIY INSTRUCTABLE ON HOW TO MAKE YOUR VERY OWN WEST END STYLE EPIC MEAL TIME CAKE!!!!)

The bar at the Coolibah is seriously one of the greatest things to hit the West End

THE ELIMINATOR
the name says it all.
